The calendar grew out of Norway, so the races abroad are mostly the international races Norwegians enter. "Unknown" means only some nations have been imported from that race so far.

We find the races. Race calendars from federations, organisers, IRONMAN, Challenge and World Triathlon are checked continuously, so new events enter the database as they appear.
We fetch the results. After the race, the results come from the organiser's own list or the timing system. For older races where a complete list no longer exists, we recover what we can from newspaper archives, the Wayback Machine or other websites — often only the podium. Such races are clearly marked as partial — we never hide that a list is incomplete.
We link the athletes. The same athlete across races and years is gathered on one profile by name and club, so career statistics sit in one place instead of being scattered.
We compute the statistics. Every figure is computed in advance from the collected results, normally again every night. That is why the statistics pages load fast, and "Last updated" at the top of the statistics page shows when the figures were last computed.
